Artists have always expressed their creativity both in research and in applied arts. In graphics, in design, in scenography they have experimented, innovated techniques, created the avant-garde. Also in the field of publishing, many painters, sculptors, designers, photographers, graphic designers, directors and others have dedicated a part of their work to the design of books and, in particular, children’s books. From their art were born special books, out of the rules, different from those traditionally dedicated to childhood and adolescence, both for images and texts and for the layout.
