Painter, illustrator and author of children’s books, Fausto Gilberti studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and began exhibiting his work in the late nineties. His creations are minimal figures, stylised characters with large, dazed eyes that stand out on blank sheets of paper where the setting is almost always undefined. Winner of the Acacia ti fa volare Prize in 2004 and the Cairo Prize in 2007, he has had about a hundred solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.
