Bob GILL

Designer, illustrator, copywriter, Bob Gill has been involved in illustration and music from an early age. After studying design, he began to work as a freelancer in New York and his drawings appeared in publications such as Esquire, The Nation, Seventeen, Fortune, Glamour, etc. Since 1960, his work has been featured in design exhibitions and many international publications. He then moved to London and founded a design studio, later renamed Pentagram, which is now known worldwide. In 1967 he designed the cover of Wonderwall, the Beatles’ first record under their own label, Apple. In the following years his activities have ranged from designing, teaching, creating children’s books, to producing, writing and directing industrial films for various international brands such as Apple, Pirelli, CBS, Universal Pictures and the UN.
