Aoi HUBER-KONO

After graduating in Graphic Design at the Tokyo University of Art and Music, Aoi Huber-Kono attended master classes at the School of Art and Crafts in Stockholm. In 1962 she moved to Milan to work alongside the artist Max Huber. In the seventies she moved permanently to Switzerland, in Canton Ticino. Experimenting with combinations of signs and colour schemes, she manifested a unique personal style right from the start. In addition to exhibiting her works in many countries, she creates designs for ceramics, toys, fabrics and carpets. From 1979 to the early 1990s she dedicated part of her artistic research to the world of engraving and exhibited her works internationally.
